We mentor and invest in under-resourced students to develop perseverance, accept personal accountability, and succeed academically so they can achieve their dreams. We promote personal worth, self-responsibility, and academic success for deserving financially qualified children by providing a unique set of resources including mentors, scholarships, long-term support, student advocacy, and a guaranteed College Scholarship.
Description
Take Stock in Children is a comprehensive program that helps children from under-resourced families to succeed by providing volunteer mentors, college readiness coaches, early intervention, college success support, parental involvement, and tuition scholarships for college and vocational studies. Our program provides a long-term strategy to make a permanent, positive change on a community-wide basis. The children who graduate from our program are equipped to help themselves, and their families, throughout their adult lives. The program succeeds by collaborating with the Palm Beach County school districts and volunteer mentors who dedicate their time to our students throughout the school year.
