For many in hospice care, pets can offer unconditional love, companionship, and comfort when it is needed most. Pet Peace of Mind is a program that works through local hospice agencies to provide in-home pet assistance when a patient needs help caring for their furry friends. With this kind of compassion and support, patients are able to live out the rest of their lives with peace of mind that their beloved pets are being cared for. Our program supports patients by: Fulfilling pet care needs Keeping food supplies in place Waste pick up/litter box cleaning Arranging for and transporting pets to veterinary appointments Grooming Services Temporary boarding in emergency patient situations Helping find a home for a pet when needed If you are an animal lover, please considering becoming a Pet Peace of Mind Volunteer!
