Cape Fear Valley Hospice and Palliative Care

Cape Fear Valley Hospice and Palliative Care is in need of volunteers to help with the Pet Peace of Mind Program.
What is Pet Peace of Mind?
For many in hospice care, pets can offer unconditional love, companionship, and comfort when it is needed most. Pet Peace of Mind is a program that works through local hospice agencies to provide in-home pet assistance when a patient needs help caring for their furry friends. With this kind of compassion and support, patients are able to live out the rest of their lives with peace of mind that their beloved pets are being cared for.
Our program supports patients by:
Fulfilling pet care needs
Keeping food supplies in place
Waste pick up/litter box cleaning
Arranging for and transporting pets to veterinary appointments
Grooming Services
Temporary boarding in emergency patient situations
Helping find a home for a pet when needed

If you are an animal lover, please considering becoming a Pet Peace of Mind Volunteer!
