Our hospice has started a dog therapy program for our patients. If you have a trained dog and it is certified or you are willing to take the steps to have them certified. Then you maybe the person we are looking for to help us to grow this great service to our patients. We do not cover the cost of your dogs training or certification. But we cover all of the cost associated with your hospice training, background checks and TB Test. Contact Bill and let's talk about what it takes to help us to grow this rewarding volunteer support.

We have Senior Adults in the South Mountain area who are in need of companionship.Or their Caregivers could use a respite to run errands. As a volunteer you may play cards, read, watch TV or engage in conversation with them. We provide training and ongoing support to you! Our senior adults live in their own homes, group homes or nursing facilities in the South Mountain area. This is a rewarding time for both you and them. We have Senior Adults who are in need of companionship. Also, their Caregivers could use a respite to run some errands. It makes a difference in their day to have a friendly visitor to talk to them. You can hear some great life stories and also share with them yours. Our senior adults also like to play cards, a game, maybe you could watch tv or a movie with them. Our adults live all over the Casa Grande area in their homes, group homes or facilities. We will have you visit with one who lives near you! This is such a rewarding time for you and for them! We are looking for volunteers all over the valley who can make a difference in our patients and families lives! Our volunteers will visit patients in their homes, Group Homes or Assisted Living Facilities, wherever they call "home". We assign patients that are near you! Responsibilities of our volunteers include Regular visits to provide companionship to the patient May provide respite support to the family so they may run errands or attend appointments Maintaining documentation of visits Continual communication with the Volunteer Coordinator We will provide all the training and support you need to become a successful volunteer. Qualifications Current drivers license and auto insurance Completion of volunteer training Caring, responsible individual Must be 18 or older. Description
Savior Hospice is seeking volunteers to make a difference in the lives of our hospice patients throughout the Valley.
Volunteers are friendly visitors who offer companionship to hospice patients and a much-needed break to their tired caregivers. Volunteers might read, watch TV or movies, listen to music, play cards or games, make a snack or assist with light housekeeping. They may chat about current events or reminisce about days gone by.
As little as an hour a week can make a BIG difference!
