Want the inside scoop on the historic homes in downtown Wilmington? Enjoy sharing interesting facts with others? Then you’d make the perfect docent! The Candlelight Tour is a self-guided tour through a selection of historic homes and other sites in downtown Wilmington. Docents are stationed at tour sites in two-hour shifts to act as guides for visitors. They are supplied with information on the site’s history from LCFHS and share it with visitors. In addition, docents receive a free, complimentary ticket to the event (a $50 value!) so they can take the tour themselves after their shift. They are also invited to the exclusive Candlelight Tour Social after the event. Interested? Email info@latimerhouse.org for more details. We look forward to hearing from you!
