Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
Our mission is to encourage and help the area youth to develop Spirit, Mind, and Body through involvement in track & field. All participants will be part of a team that encourages and promotes hard work and sportsmanship. All participants will build a positive self-image as they set goals and train/work to achieve them.
The East Orlando Track Club is a drug free non-profit youth organization in the state of Florida. The club is a member of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and USA Track and Field (USATF). Our track club serves primarily the East Orlando area youth ranging in ages from 5 to 15. It was created by its founders when it was discovered that our area youth did not have a viable local track team in the area. We have a coaching staff of former track and field athletes and coaches who volunteer countless hours and provide a positive yet constructive environment for our athletes.
The organization teaches fair play and the value of hard work through structured practices and is further enriched in track and field competitions. The track club also affords our youth the opportunity to compete on a state, regional and national level. Our purpose is to provide a rigorous program of character development through youth participation in the sport of track and field. We seek ultimately to develop young adults possessing a sense of pride, self-respect, and personal work ethic to strive for excellence in all walks of life. Our goal is to provide an environment where each young athlete can realize his/her full social, intellectual, and athletic potential, while also developing a strong sense of loyalty, commitment, and appreciation. These ideals will become self-evident to our youth as we focus on the areas of personal responsibility, family unity, team cohesiveness and community awareness. We seek to instill these values through encouragement, education, motivation, and accountability.
