The Warren County Genealogical Society and Resource Center builds and promotes interest in collecting and preserving genealogical records. They assist others in finding their ancestors and relatives with the many resources they have available. The Center is staffed entirely with volunteers. There are many ways in which a volunteer can help from once a month to once a week. It allows you to meet and network with others who share your "passion" for genealogy. Volunteer opportunities include: Data Entry - Enter data for current projects at the library or from you home computer. Information Technology - Assist with website development and maintenance and/or Facebook and Twitter account posting and maintenance. Proofreading - Verifying data entry for various projects at the library or from your home computer. Publicity/Advertising - Create press releases, promote events, and contact media. Writing/Transcribing for Society publications - Write articles for our monthly eNews or our quarterly - Heir Lines or transcribe records for eNews or Heir Lines. WCGS Library - Volunteer in the library. The hours are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. Choose your day and your hours. Other needs - Editing/proofreading, Event Planning, Graphic Design, Indexing, Marketing/Publicity, Transcribing, Writing. Hospice of Butler and Warren County volunteers are patient-focused and integral members of the Hospice Team. All volunteers are provided training and an opportunity to identify the kind of volunteer contribution they are most comfortable with. There are many ways to volunteer at Hospice. Volunteers are needed to be companionship visitors to patients; veterans for the Veterans Pinning Ceremony, provide administrative support; fundraising/events helper; assist with gardening at patient's home or care center; assist with special projects, events, help with maintenance, and much more. Are you good with numbers? The AARP Tax-Aide Program provides free income tax preparation for older taxpayers with low to moderate income. Tax Counselors are needed for sites in northern Warren County. Please call before November 15th if you are interested in training for the next tax season. One month of preparation is needed prior to classroom training in January. This is a rewarding way to give back to your community. RSVP of Warren County connects people who are age 55+ to local volunteer opportunities. Once we receive your completed membership form to join RSVP, you will be connected to the coordinator for the local AARP Tax-Aide Program.

Premier Health Atrium Medical Center welcomes anyone who has an interest in serving others. Atrium’s volunteers work within various departments in the hospital assisting staff, patients, and families. Other opportunities may include, administrative duties, greeting families, registering, and discharging patients, customer service, assisting with patient flow, answering phones, delivering mail, driving a golf cart for valet (its big), gift shop assistance, visiting patients, and more.... Volunteers make a real difference to Atrium's patients, families, visitors and community by improving the quality of patient care. Educational volunteers provide instruction for scavenger hunts in the museum and with hands on activities as well as help with special events for children and adult programs. Docents are needed for walking the museum and leading small tours including school groups. A volunteer to develop a Nature Trail Guide, illustrating and discussing the native plants that are growing throughout the grounds, would be a plus.
