Are you passionate about driving kids toward high paying, in-demand careers or connecting school to work? Are you passionate about STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) education or STEM careers? Would you like to help increase the number of K-12 students interested in or planning on pursuing STEM careers? If you also have a sense of humor, a sense of wonder, and 4-6 hours of time to give each month, then Edheads is the place for you! Edheads is a 501c3 non-profit organization that ties K-12 classroom curricula to real world challenges and careers by providing free games to teachers, students and parents. We are looking for someone for our Board Directors who will organize and prioritize social media processes and communications to increase funding and get the word out about Edheads. We need someone with a proven track record in business social media accounts, who is willing to roll up their sleeves, create posts, determine photo and video needs, perhaps help supervise other volunteers, while also building communications with companies and individuals that can sponsor or donate to help Edheads meet its mission. The best candidate will also be able to work with the rest of the Board on strategic planning to use social media to meet strategic initiatives. Creativity a plus, as we are looking for interesting and unique ways of engaging STEM professionals and raising money on social media. Must have a college education and 3-5 years work experience, and must also be able to regularly attend meetings or events in central Ohio.

Are you passionate about STEM education and careers? Would you like to help K-12 students achieve their full potential in fabulous future careers? If you also have a sense of humor, a sense of wonder, and little time to give each month, then Edheads is the place for you! Edheads is a 501c3 non-profit organization that ties K-12 classroom curricula to real world challenges and careers by providing free games and new content to teachers, students and parents. We are looking for people with a creative bent, and a strong sense of curiosity to brainstorm ideas for STEM Mysteries (guidance will be given), engaging topics for social media posts, new ways to present STEM careers to K12 students, and a willingness to research topics that might have been brainstormed by others. The idea is to increase the pipeline of content for students and teachers, expand our reach to STEM professionals, and deepen our connection to those that follow us on social media. We ask for roughly 3-5 hours of time per month, with a minimum of one video meeting per month. You do NOT have to live in central Ohio to participate (but it would be helpful if your time zone was not 12 hours off ours - we like to sleep). :-)
