Enhancing the quality of life and quality of services for consumers of long-term care through advocacy, education and empowerment.
The Office of Ombudsman for Long-Term Care is a program of the Minnesota Board on Aging. The Office advocates for adults needing or receiving long-term care. The Office promotes person-centered living that respects individual values and preferences and preserves individual rights. Regional Ombudsmen and Volunteers work with consumers, their families, health care and service providers and public agencies to ensure the health, safety, welfare and rights of long-term care consumers.
