Location: Thaddeus Resource Center, La Verne, California Description : The Volunteer Personal Shopper plays an important role in carrying out the organization's mission to empower girls and women. They assist clients in understanding what they're looking for or in need of and maintain a clean and inviting space for both clients and volunteers, ensuring a pleasant donation center and shopping experience. Responsibilities: Engage with clients to understand what they’re looking for or in need of. Familiarize yourself with the layout of the Donation Center to locate requested items. Ensure a pleasant, easy shopping experience. Work with staff to maintain the donation center well-organized and clean. Keep track of inventory levels. Ensure items are properly sorted and stored. Maintain a clean and inviting space for both clients and volunteers. Requirements: Communication and interpersonal skills Previous customer service experience preferred Ability to interact with diverse client population in a respectful manner. Attention to detail when sorting and organizing donations. Commitment to our organization's missions and values. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds and stand for extending periods Time commitment: One shift a week (4hrs) between the hours of 9am-4pm 6 months minimum *** We are an equal opportunity employer. ***

Location: Thaddeus Resource Center, La Verne, California Description:The Donation Center Volunteer plays an important role in carrying out the organization's mission to empower girls and women. They help sort and organize incoming donations, maintain a clean donation center, keep track of inventory, and assist with other related tasks. Responsibilities: Participate in Thaddeus Resource Center in-person events. Sort and organize incoming donations: clothes, toys, and other essential items. Greet clients when they arrive at the donation center. Assist in unloading incoming donations and ensure items are in good condition and ready for distribution. Provide help as clients browse available items. Maintain a clean and organized donation center. Help track inventory levels and restock as needed. Assist in any immediate service or related projects if required. Help clean up the on-site location at the end of each day. Requirements: Ability to interact with diverse client population in a respectful manner. Attention to detail when sorting and organizing donations. The Thaddeus Resource Center is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to restore HOPE, inspire GROWTH, and EMPOWER girls and women through education, life skill development, workforce training, and other supportive services. Description: The Life Coach volunteer will help improve the lives of women, girls and families by providing advice/assistance with solving problems, and help others set/accomplish their goals. The volunteer will work at the donation center that strives to empower, educate, counsel, and inspire families and individuals to move from a place of dependence to living independently. Through guidance, the Life Coach volunteer will have a great impact on the lives of those who seek the path to a brighter future and life. The position can be performed fully in person and/or in combination of in-person and remote work. Time Commitment: Due to Covid-19, this position is 100% virtual until further notice All responsibilities will be done fully remotely, at volunteers’ discretion/time Must be available to work 5 to 10 hours per week VI RT UALLY Must be available for the following VI RT UAL weekly meetings: All Staff Meeting: Mondays 12pm - 2pm Program Meetings: Mondays 10am - 12pm Must be able to commit to this 1-year volunteer opportunity Responsibilities: Provide support and advice Help others establish goals Help others achieve their goals Provide adequate and constructive feedback Encourage and motivate others Help others set priorities Monitor progress and find solutions to setbacks The volunteer works primarily with low-income and homeless women/families Requirements: Experience as a life coach or in counseling preferred Possess strong personal integrity and ethical principles Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organization, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others Ability to demonstrate empathy and patience Be a positive role model Excellent listener Ability to motive, encourage, and guide others Ability to pass the mandated reporter exam Volunteer must have the appropriate technology, internet connection and ability to function in a virtual capacity via Microsoft Teams *** We are an equal opportunity employer. ***
