Mission Statement

The High Plains Environmental Center works to educate communities to become replicable "living laboratories" which demonstrate restorative examples of land-stewardship, native plants, and wildlife habitat.

Description

Are you interested in making a difference in your local community? Would you like to gain or improve your gardening skills? Do you have a passion for sustainability? If you answered yes to any of these questions, HPEC might be perfect for you!

As an environmental nonprofit, we need your help to continue our commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable living in Northern Colorado. Individuals, families, and groups are all welcome! No skills required. Come out and meet new friends, learn about plants and help us grow!

Can you see yourself volunteering at HPEC? If so, please email Lauren at Lauren@suburbitat.org or call 970-342-9533.

Volunteer projects include, but are not limited to: transplanting, planting, weeding, harvesting, seeding, and prep work. Projects vary depending on the month and our needs at the time.
