Our mission is to mobilize local churches to transform lives and communities in the Name of Christ.

Description

Love In the Name of Christ is a faith-based nonprofit 501(c)3 that partners with 50+ local churches offering people in need help aimed at transformation and freedom in the Name of Christ so they can overcome poverty. We offer resources by participation, basic life skills, and relationship building. Love INC of Brevard is one of over 130 affiliates in 30 states in the U.S., helping over 1 million people yearly by more than 9,000 churches, 6,000 community agencies, and 300,000 volunteers. Our first international affiliate opened in 2015 in Nairobi, Kenya, and has grown to seven affiliates.

How Does Love INC Work?
The heart of Love INC is the CH Call Center. Volunteers receive help requests, conduct intakes, action plans and journey with clients to freedom from poverty and brokenness. Love INC identifies gaps in services and resources and helps churches develop ministries to fill those gaps including Service Projects, Budget Mentoring, Career Mentoring, Personal Care Pantry, and Counseling services.

Love In the Name of Christ enables churches in a community to pool their resources and services so that people in need are not turned away. As churches join together to show Christ's love to their neighbors, communities see exciting results:

I have been a volunteer at Love INC of Brevard for about a year now. I began as an administrative assistant, but with my accounting background was soon recruited for an open bookkeeping position. After about 6 months I was asked to serve as Director of Operations which has been challenging, but truly a blessing that has brought much spiritual and professional growth. Going to work at the Love INC office is always a blessing - I love the people I work with. There is an all for one mentality that is rare these days and being able to have such a huge impact in my community for Christ is awesome!

The people who work at Love INC truly embrace the mission statement - to mobilize churches to transform lives and communities In the Name of Christ. I have been on staff for a little over a year and started volunteering in 2011. I am amazed at the level of talent and dedication of those involved. In my job as the Labors of Love Coordinator I am in charge of limited scope home repair. I interact with the volunteers and the clients and see first hand the transformation in the lives of both. It is an incredibly moving experience to take the resources God provides and see how helping to make a home more healthy and safe can truly impact a person/family in need far beyond that practical need. If you are looking for a place to invest your time and treasure, I know of no other place where the needs are truly vetted and the dollars are stretched beyond belief to make the greatest possible impact. The integrity of those in charge would have it no other way.

As a volunteer, serving with Love INC became the most personally fulfilling time in my week. The Holy Spirit is alive and moving and to really impact peoples lives for Christ has been so mutually rewarding. I am now on staff as the Director of Programs and I have grown ten fold in my relationship with the Lord and in professional management skills. It is a place like non other that God is using to make a long lasting impact in Brevard county. I'm so grateful on so many levels that God called me to Love In The Name of Christ!
