Siem Reap, Guatemala
Be part of a pioneer humanitarian project in the villages of northwest Cambodia. Working in partnership with local nonprofits, we set up a mobile dental clinic to provide first time dental care to children living in villages around the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site of Angkor Wat. Volunteers base out of Siem Reap and take a short commute to the clinic each morning. Outside the clinic, volunteers get a firsthand glimpse into rural life in the countryside of Cambodia. Volunteers work in the clinic for six days. After the clinic, the journey continues with sightseeing of Angkor Wat, Tonlé Sap and the surrounding area. Project Cost: $2,750 (based on double occupancy) Clinic-Only Itinerary: $2,590 (based on double occupancy) Call our office for single-occupancy and triple-occupancy rates. The project duration is 13 days, which includes: travel time to Cambodia, orientation, temple tours in Siem Reap, six days working in the dental clinic and a floating village tour. Volunteers may opt out of the sightseeing portion of the project and head home after the clinic.

Ladakh, India
Be part of a pioneer humanitarian project in the Ladakh Valley. Once a departure point for yak trains traveling into Central Asia, Leh is located in a small area just north of the Indus Valley. Situated deep in the Indian Himalayas, Ladakh offers spectacular mountain views and trekking. Project Cost: $2,175 (based on double occupancy) Clinic-Only: $1,780 (based on double occupancy) Call our office for single-occupancy rates. The dental clinic - located at 11,000 feet above sea level - is set up in the Ladakh valley where volunteers work to provide first-time dental care to children in the Ladakh area. Outside the clinic, volunteers have a chance to get to know the local people and take in mountain life on the Tibetan plateau. Volunteers work in the clinic for six days, after which the journey continues through India with sightseeing in Ladakh. The project duration is 15 days, which includes: travel time to Leh, orientation, sightseeing in Ladakh, and six days working in the dental clinic. Volunteers may opt out of the sightseeing portion of the project and head home after the clinic.

Jenkins, KY 41537
Join Global Dental Relief at our only domestic clinic location. Surrounded by the beauty of the Appalachian Mountains, volunteers work in a rural community where 60% of children live without access to dentistry. The closest dentist is a two-hour drive, and many in the community lack both transportation as well as the resources to pay for care. Days are spent working in the clinic, while evenings are spent enjoying the local trails, mountain scenery and regional history in this bucolic setting. Project Cost: $795 (based on double occupancy) GDR will provide single rooms where possible upon request. Please call our office for more information. Working in collaboration with SmileFaith, a 501(c)(3) organization, volunteers provide dental care to children in and around Jenkins, Kentucky. Volunteers stay in a home that has been converted into a guesthouse by SmileFaith for volunteers. The project lasts eight days, which includes: travel time to Kentucky, orientation and five days working in the dental clinic.

Chogoria, Kenya
In partnership with the Chogoria PCEA Hospital, Global Dental Relief’s Kenya project is located in a fully equipped dental clinic. Situated roughly four hours north of Nairobi at the base of Mount Kenya, Chogoria offers a breathtaking escape from the hustle and bustle of Nairobi and a unique picture into rural life in the Kenyan countryside. $3295 - for the clinic + sightseeing itinerary $1550 - for the clinic only itinerary Call our office for single-occupancy and triple-occupancy rates. There is a separate $200 Kenya dental license fee that each dentist must pay. On arrival, the team overnights in Nairobi and has a morning tour to visit a giraffe sanctuary and Sheldrick Wildlife Trust elephant refuge before heading north to the clinic site. Once in Chogoria, volunteers stay on hospital grounds and base out of the hospital guesthouse. Enjoy morning walks to the clinic greeted by friendly villagers and smiling faces of eager patients. Following the clinic, volunteers embark on a three-day safari in the renowned Masai Mara National Park. The project duration is 14 days, which includes: travel time to Kenya, orientation, sightseeing in Nairobi, five days working in the dental clinic and a three-day safari in Masai Mara National Park. Volunteers may opt out of the sightseeing portion of the project and head home after the clinic.

San Martin Jilotepeque, Guatemala
Working in partnership with the local community, GDR teams set up a clinic in the Guatemalan Highlands of San Martín Jilotepeque to serve the indigenous Maya community. Volunteers experience a true immersion experience while in San Martín - days are spent eating local foods, exploring the market while walking to the clinic each morning, and seeing firsthand true Maya culture. Volunteers work for one week and then have two days of sightseeing in the beautiful ancient capital of Antigua. Project Cost: $1,780 (based on double occupancy) Clinic-Only: $1,450 (based on double occupancy) Call our office for single-occupancy rates. The project duration is 10 days, which includes: travel time to Guatemala, orientation, walking tour of Antigua, five days working in the dental clinic and a weekend in Antigua for sightseeing.
