Gentiva Hospice

I have tried several different volunteer organizations, looking for an opportunity where I felt I was doing actual meaningful work. Having been so lucky to end up volunteering with Gentiva Hospice, I have since stopped looking. With other locations, I felt anonymous, unneeded, or just plain in the way! But with Gentiva, I feel that all the staff are so passionate, caring, and genuine that I am finding myself growing and learning in compassion and work ethic every time I visit. In only the first month of volunteering, I learned so much from both patients and supervisors that I became certain I would volunteer with Gentiva for a very long time. I am humbled and honored to know these patients and staff members. And I appreciate all that I've had the privilege of being exposed to through Gentiva. I love volunteering with Gentiva Hospice! I have had the honor of spending time with amazing individuals in the care of Gentiva Hospice. As a volunteer I am able to create a schedule that works for me and build relationships with patients that matches my interests.
