Help these people and cats! From the get go their communication was great about their policies and requirements, and they have been very welcoming. I go weekly to transcribe voicemails. The number of calls they get is crazy, and I don't know how their small staff does it. They'd love your help!

With all due respect, readers of Andi P. from Huntington Beach, CA's review should view Best Friend's rating on Charity Navigator. It earned an overall four-star rating and, contrary to Andi P.'s review, earned a three-star organizational efficiency rating. (Both of these ratings exceed those for the ASPCA.) Best Friends is the most organized, well-run animal rescue I have ever worked with/for - and I've been volunteering in this field for well over 10 years.
All the staff and volunteers alike are very helpful and passionate about this cause. They have training for all positions and people in place to assist you through your volunteering journey.
The provide a wealth of knowledge not only to their staff and volunteers but to the general public as well.
I can't say enough about this great organization.
