We are looking for a team of people to help us set up our Prom Shop. This involves moving racks of dresses from storage and setting them up as a "dress shop" creating a unique shopping experience where our clients can pick out their own dress for prom. Prom is our favorite event of the year - we hope you can be a part of it!

Like to cook? Or are you looking for a fun team-building activity? When you prepare meals for the folks CCRI serves, you’re not only giving the gift of a nutritious and delicious meal, but you’re also giving our team members more time to spend with our clients. Meals With Meaning is simple-you provide the ingredients and prepare a main dish that fits into four disposable aluminum 9x13 pans or eight half-size disposable aluminum pans. We’ll provide the kitchen space for you and your group. Meals should be cooked or ready to "heat and eat" and can follow whatever recipe you want. Casserole-type meals like lasagna or tater tot hotdish work well. (You do not have to provide a side dish, vegetable, or dessert.)

If you’re a college or high school student (age 16 or older) who needs 10 or more volunteer hours to fulfill a school or class requirement, you can apply for CCRI’s Student Volunteer Program. In-home care volunteering provides a unique, hands-on experience working directly with the people we serve. We offer flexible, student-friendly shifts, but spaces available each semester are limited. A background check and orientation session are required before you can begin your first shift.

We’re looking for someone who loves people and has office support skills to volunteer one to two hours a day, twice a week, at our main office reception desk. You’ll put your people skills to work greeting visitors, connecting them with the person they’re here to see, answering our main phone line and transferring calls.

Are you handy with a needle and thread? If so, you might be the just the volunteer we need! The annual CCRI Prom is set for August 26, with our Prom Dress Shop open June 6, 7, and 8. We are currently seeking 2-3 seamstress who can make simple alterations to our client's formal attire. Volunteers must be available one of the Prom Shop dates to help fit the dresses, which can then be taken home to finish alterations. Contact us for more details and volunteer shift information.

CCRI is a Moorhead-based nonprofit organization that began in 1977 when a group of parents wanted more for their children than institutionalized care. What started as one home serving eight people with disabilities in a community-based setting has grown into an agency serving more than 400 people through a variety of person-centered programs. CCRI empowers those with disabilities to:
