Every summer, CCRI runs an adaptive Softball League that our amazing Volunteer Coaches and Runners make possible!
Our Volunteer Coaches and Runners do not need to have experience with coaching or softball, they just need to have a fun-loving attitude.
Each of our teams has multiple Volunteer Coaches that work together to support and encourage our athletes, our Volunteer Runners run the bases for our players who can’t or help push wheelchairs for our players who need it.
We are looking for volunteers who would be able to commit to all 6 Sundays in our season (exact dates below) because consistency is so important for our players.
Because we need so many volunteers to hit this league out of the park for our athletes, this opportunity is open to both groups and individuals looking to get moving for a good cause!
This is also an excellent opportunity for volunteers to get experience working with adaptive sports, coaching, and people with disabilities.

Mission Statement
To enhance and enrich the lives and learning of people with disabilities.
Description
CCRI is a Moorhead-based nonprofit organization that began in 1977 when a group of parents wanted more for their children than institutionalized care. What started as one home serving eight people with disabilities in a community-based setting has grown into an agency serving more than 400 people through a variety of person-centered programs. CCRI empowers those with disabilities to:
- Live more independently.
- Build life skills.
- Participate more in the community.
- Have new experiences.
- Reach their full potential.
From 24-hour in-home support to rehabilitative mental health care, our services are as unique as each of the people we serve.
