Verdugo Hospice Care Center is looking for dedicated and compassionate volunteers to help with our day to day work. Full training support and supervision are provided by our friendly staff. We are looking for: Fluent Spanish speakers near the Los Angeles area to work as Patient Volunteers to provide companionship to terminally ill patients. Volunteers make friendly visits to patients and help them in their daily lives by reading to them, playing music, running errands, and relieving family members who need a rest. Hospice provides palliative (comfort) care when curative treatment is no longer the patient's choice.
