Verdugo Hospice Care Center is looking for dedicated and compassionate volunteers to help with our day to day work. Full training support and supervision are provided by our friendly staff. Only a clean record and caring attitude is required.
We are looking for:
Fluent Spanish speakers near the Los Angeles area to work as Patient Volunteers to provide companionship to terminally ill patients. Volunteers make friendly visits to patients and help them in their daily lives by reading to them, playing music, running errands, and relieving family members who need a rest.
Spanish speaking volunteers may also be very helpful in the LA office communicating and preparing information packets for patients.
