The Arthritis Foundation Metro DC is in search of young adults (21-39) who are driven to make a difference. The Young Professional Leadership Committee (YPLC) is an esteemed group of young professionals who are seen as "rising stars" and have the ability to utilize their success, leadership, and passion to contribute towards finding a cure for arthritis. They have the vision, commitment, and capability to inspire their peers to engage in chapter activities and events, as well as establish new business relationships. Event Day volunteers needed - 2024 Jingle Bell Run Metro DC

Get geared up to participate in an enjoyable holiday 5k event that supports a great cause! The Arthritis Foundation of Metro DC is seeking volunteers for the Jingle Bell Run event, which will take place on Saturday, December 14th. Volunteers will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of the event by assisting with essential tasks such as: Setting up and cleaning up the event area Managing water stations, Providing assistance to guests Assisting with the registration process. It's important to note that event volunteers will be working under the guidance of dedicated staff and various members of the event committee who will provide detailed instructions and support throughout the day. Volunteers for the event day are kindly asked to commit to at least 4 hours of service. About the event The Jingle Bell Run is a wonderful and festive charity race where participants are encouraged to dress in fun and creative holiday attire, attach bells to their shoes, and join in the spirited run to show their support for the 54 million Americans living with arthritis. This event offers a great opportunity to come together as a community and take meaningful steps towards finding a cure for arthritis, all while enjoying the festivities and spreading joy throughout the event. Your participation and support will make a significant impact, and we look forward to having a fantastic time jingling all the way to a cure! See you at JBR :)

I really enjoyed my experience as an intern for the health and wellness coordinator. I was responsible for helping to plan fun activities for children with arthritis and their families. I also worked with the health and wellness coordinator to plan expos and put together and distribute information to help improve the lives of those living with arthritis. We also put together programs and information packets to provide to underserved communities in the midatlantic area. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming!
