Boston Partners in Education enhances the academic achievement and nurtures the growth of Boston's public school students by providing them with focused, individualized in-school volunteer support. With the commitment and involvement of the entire community, all students in Boston will develop the skills, self-confidence and motivation to recognize and achieve their full potential.
Boston Partners in Education has been supporting teachers and students in Boston Public Schools for over 50 years. Our trained volunteers serve as academic mentors to help students gain the skills, self-confidence, and motivation they need to succeed in school and in life.
Our academic mentors are community members who volunteers in pre K-12 classrooms in the Boston Public Schools (BPS). Mentors offer support in any subject area, though we focus on ELA and math for grades K-8. They commit to spending the year with the same student, or small group of students, every week for an hour a week during the school day. Ideally, the match stays together over the course of a few years, thus forming a bond that goes beyond academics.

When I was in high school I usually was a out ordinary ,hand to handle student.I can understand that kind of sensitive ,mercurial ,want to prove themselves ,and want to know more about the world among teenagers.
After graduated from high school I did not come to collage immediately ,I have traveled many city , visited the local university ,I enjoy talking with strangers ,share different opinions, reading finical magazine when I have time. And I have been a mathematic tutor of 7 grade Chinese student. I wish I could help.
