House Events & Volunteer Program Intern Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida - Miami, FL 33136 The Ronald McDonald House offers an exciting opportunity to gain professional experience by working with employees of a worldwide non-profit organization. The program provides the intern with hands-on business experience in daily non-profit organizational activities. The Ronald McDonald House in Miami seeks an intern to assist the Special Events & Volunteer Coordinator in the organization of events and management of volunteers. Responsibilities include helping with administrative tasks, marketing for volunteer positions and documenting house activities. The internship requires a commitment of at least 10 hours a week. Exact dates are flexible. If students, applicants are responsible for arranging with their colleges to receive course credit. Students in the fields of PR and Communications are preferred. The Adopt-A-Meal Program ensures that the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House have nutritious meals without taking precious time away from their children. You are welcome to make a once-a-month, quarterly, or even once-a-year commitment to help these families in need. Any mealtime (lunch or dinner) is welcome. IMPORTANT UPDATE: In-person Adopt a Meal program for no more than 15 people total in each group! All in-person meal groups must be coordinated directly with the Volunteer Manager. All delivery meals can still be scheduled on the calendar on our website. The Twelve Good Men Luncheon is the premier fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House Charities(r) of South Florida. The money raised each year at this luncheon helps fund our annual operation budget of our the Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald House is built on the simple idea that when a family is focused on healing their child, nothing else should matter. When a child is hospitalized, the love and support of family can be as powerful as the strongest medicine. Lunch will be provided for volunteers The duties include: check in guests from RSVP list into ballroom Assist in preparing the room in placing booklets, centerpieces and favors in tables Assist in securing donations from audience with QR code, we will be asking for share a night donations Help clean up afterwards

The Wish List is a list of items we need on an everyday basis to help maintain our "Home away from home". It includes items like toilet paper, paper towels, plastic utensils, shower curtains, detergent, and so much more. The RMHC of South Florida provides temporary housing for over 500 families a year with a child receiving medical treatment in any South Florida pediatric medical facility.
