The Adopt-A-Meal Program ensures that the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House have nutritious meals without taking precious time away from their children. You are welcome to make a once-a-month, quarterly, or even once-a-year commitment to help these families in need. Any mealtime (lunch or dinner) is welcome.
Volunteers are needed to provide meals for the families staying with us. Volunteers can either cook a meal at the Ronald McDonald House or drop-off a catered meal for as many as 30 to 40 house guests (depending on the current occupancy).
Whatever way you choose, our families will be very grateful!
Feel free to visit our website https://rmhcsouthflorida.org/adopt-a-meal-rmhc and select your desired date. For any questions, call our office (786)476-2177 or via email email@example.com
Our "Adopt-a-Meal" volunteers can now schedule a date to cook a meal at the Ronald McDonald House. Please note, we have increased our Adopt-A-Meal Program policies and guidelines in the wake of COVID-19. These parameters prioritize the safety of our families, volunteers, and staff alike, so all groups who wish to cook a meal at RMHC must abide by these rules in order to participate.
Adopt-A-Meal groups may include a maximum of 2 volunteers.
Adopt-A-Meal volunteers must be at least 16 years old with parental consent. As an increased precaution, children under 16 years old are not currently able to participate in any "in-house" volunteer activities.
Adopt-A-Meal groups and participants must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to participating in any "in-house" volunteer activity. Also, upon arrival volunteers must show vaccination card to manager on duty during check-in.
All volunteers must complete the online health questionnaire when booking date.
Temperature reading upon arrival at the House.
Volunteers must wear facemasks, gloves, and hairnets/hair ties.
Volunteers will prepare meals and leave ready for families to consume. At the moment volunteers will not have direct contact with families.
All volunteers must be completely illness/symptom free (cold, flu, fever, stomach virus, etc). for at least 14 days prior to volunteering.
We ask volunteers who test positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of any volunteerism to let us know as soon as possible.
