Would you recommend National City Public Library?

Amazing nonprofit program to volunteer at. Very laid back and great, friendly atmosphere. I asked the adult literacy coordinator to write a letter of recommendation for a graduate program and he was more than happy and helpful to do so. I have tutored two adults now, one in U.S. citizenship and the other one in reading and they have both been great experiences. They were both very appreciative and flexible.

I helped tutor a group of people hoping to pass the math portion of GED. It was wonderful teaching math concepts to people who wanted to improve their situation. Plus, everyone my group passed! The exceptional staff at National City library made access to resources easy and made it a thoroughly enjoyable experience. My only reason for leaving was that my day job gave me increased responsibility that left little time to tutor. I would definitely do it again if time allowed and would definitely recommend this opportunity to someone who is committed and passionate about tutoring.
