¿Te encantan los gatos y los gatitos y quieres pasar tiempo acariciándolos, jugando y pasando el rato con ellos, y al mismo tiempo ayudarlos a encontrar hogares amorosos? ¡Esta podría ser la oportunidad adecuada para ti! ¡Queremos que nuestros gatos tengan la mejor experiencia posible mientras están en el refugio! Los voluntarios brindan atención a los gatos (comida y agua, limpian las cajas de arena, lavan la ropa) y también brindan actividades de enriquecimiento para gatos específicos según sus necesidades (socialización, juego, caricias) y toman notas sobre las preferencias, el comportamiento y el progreso de los gatos. Los turnos son de 2 horas alrededor de la hora del almuerzo y al final de la tarde, de lunes a domingo, y le pedimos que se inscriba en al menos dos turnos por mes. Realizamos orientaciones dos veces al mes en las que le brindaremos toda la capacitación que necesitamos. Nota: se le pedirá que complete la capacitación en línea Shelter Fear Free (aproximadamente 6 horas) dentro de los 2 meses posteriores a su incorporación al equipo. Estamos buscando especialmente voluntarios bilingües! ¡Pase tiempo con gatos y gatitos, y ayúdelos a encontrar hogares amorosos! ¡Estamos buscando personas expertas en gatos para ayudar con las adopciones de gatos! Los consejeros de adopción conocen a nuestros gatos adoptables, hablan con los posibles adoptantes, ayudan a hacer buenas combinaciones entre los gatos y las familias, ¡y responden muchas preguntas sobre los gatos! Brindaremos capacitación. Los turnos son los jueves, viernes, sábados y domingos, de 12:00 a 14:30 y de 14:30 a 17:00, y le pedimos que se inscriba en al menos dos turnos por mes. Spend times with cats and kittens, and help them find loving homes! We are seeking cat-savvy people to help with cat adoptions! Adoption counselors get to know our adoptable cats, talk to potential adopters, help make good matches between cats and families, and answer lots of questions about cats! We will provide training. Shifts are on Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun, 12-2.30pm and 2.30-5pm, and we ask that you sign up for at least two shifts per month. Note - you will be asked to complete the Shelter Fear Free online training (approx 6 hours) within 2 months of joining the team. You'll learn a lot about cats behavior and how to make their stay in a shelter more comfortable! * If you speak Spanish, that would be an added bonus! Love cats and kittens and want to spend time petting, playing and hanging out with them - and helping them find loving homes at the same time? This could be the right opportunity for you! We want our cats to have the best experience possible while they are at the shelter! Volunteers provide cat care (food and water, clean litter boxes, do laundry) and also provide enrichment activities for specific cats depending on their needs (socialization, play, petting), and keep notes on cats' preferences, behaviors and progress. Shifts are 2 hours around lunchtime and in the late afternoon, Monday though Sunday, and we ask that you sign up for at least two shifts per month. We run orientations twice per month where we'll give you all the training our need. Note: you will be asked to complete the Shelter Fear Free online training (approx. 6 hours) within 2 months of joining the team. Are you interested in working in veterinary setting, inside a clinic that provides low-cost spay/neuter surgery for cats? Maybe thinking about a career as a veterinary technician or veterinarian, or just really good at cleaning and organizing? There is no hand-on contact with the cats in this role, but you will be in the same space as our surgical team as they perform 25-30 spay/neuter surgeries each day on cats and kittens. Your role will be to clean surgical instruments and wrap new surgical packs for the next day's surgeries. This role is essential to our surgery team so you can feel great knowing you are preventing unwanted pregnancies and saving kitty lives! Surgical Instruments Sterilization: WEEKDAYS 11-5 (2 hour shifts) -Get an inside peek at our high volume spay/neuter clinic -Sterilize surgical instruments and wrap surgical packs -Know that you are saving lives! This role is at our spay/neuter clinic at 3137 Jefferson Ave in Redwood city.
