Mission Statement

A community based non-profit 501c3 organization that rescues cats and kittens from high-kill shelters and at-risk homeless situations, providing them with a no-kill shelter and on-site medical care, and finding permanent loving homes for them.

Nine Lives Foundation is a true no-kill shelter for cats and kittens. We provide rescue, medical services, a low-cost vaccination clinic, and adoption services. Nine Lives never euthanizes an animal for any reason other than human reasons to alleviate suffering; in fact, we take in many sick or injured cats and kittens that would be euthanized at other shelters.

Nine Lives Foundation does not receive funding from any city, state or government agencies, relying only on private donations and money generated from adoption fees and vaccination clinics.

We have two locations in Redwood city: our medical clinic at 3137 Jefferson Avenue and our Adoption Center at 3106 Rolison Road. We invite you to visit our clinic and adoption center to see how your volunteering makes a difference in the lives of so many cats and kittens.

NLF is a great place where every person makes a huge difference. Together we are mighty. The people really care about the cats. They survive because of the volunteers. You can help once a week or once a month. You can also bake for events and help coordinate the events.
