A volunteer’s role in Child Life is to bring a smile and lend a helping hand in ways that increase the comfort and care provided to patients and their families. Volunteers will provide supervision to play activities, diversion in the playroom and at bedside for pediatric and adolescent patients and their families. Have a special skill or interest? Let us know! Provide non-clinical assistance through friendly interactions with patients. Evening volunteers will participate in Tuck & Tidy program by attending to any non-medical needs the patients may have before bedtime. Volunteers must be able to serve at least one 4-hour shift for a minimum of six consecutive months. We are unable to accept short-term or summer-only volunteers.
