We carry out our mission through our volunteers who go to the streets in order to find, stabilize and otherwise help homeless and street kids improve their lives. We have been on the streets since January 1990 and continue to grow our organization to help America's homeless youth. We need your help!

A member of the Public Relations team manages the public image of the local program. The team is also responsible for distributing information about the local program and building relationships with the media to gain exposure in the community.

Must have an understanding of the plight of youth homelessness and/or have the willingness to learn. Good organization skills and forward thinking. This is a virtual position.

The Director of Fundraising works with a team to determine the financial needs of the organization. They will identify and execute strategies to secure funds from current and potential donors. Develop and maintain a program budget; Lead the development of a Fundraising Plan; Execute the Fundraising Plan; Grant writing; Plan and coordinate fundraising events; Maintain a fundraising database.

StandUp for Kids provides street outreach and advocacy for homeless and at risk youth. We go into the street the same time, same day and same route in an attempt to find and help homeless youth. Outreach volunteers must be able to walk and carry supplies. All volunteers are cleared and trained and no one goes into the street alone. We work with small teams and divide those teams to expand our area and reach more youth. Volunteers must be able to meet our youth where they are and provide a listening ear. We ask that anyone working directly with youth, make a one year commitment of once a week.
