Looking for creative and caring individuals to lead discussions and share special interests such as books, gardening, sports, art, cooking, card games, etc. Volunteers can also help with special events and leading religious celebrations. We are open to your creative ideas. In addition, CJE SeniorLife has various needs in different locations and departments. We are looking for volunteers to host birthday and holiday parties for older adults in Skokie and the West Rogers Park area. Although not necessary, being proficient in both Russian and English would be beneficial. You will be expected to assist staff with set-up, welcome and engage with guests, and assist with clean-up. Volunteer with your dog to bring delight to our older adult residents. Our Dog Pals program connects certified therapy dogs and their owners together with residents in both our CJE SeniorLife Deerfield and Skokie locations. All dogs must be certified by TDI (Therapy Dogs International) or similar, be up-to-date on vaccinations, license, and have insurance (provided through TDI).
