TCV Food Bank + Thrift Store (Tri-City Volunteers) in a non-profit organization that provides food assistance and low cost clothing and household items to the residents of Alameda County. We are the largest client-direct food bank in the area. We serve up to 1,000 FAMILIES EVERY WEEK through our emergency food distribution program and up to 75 INDIVIDUALS EVERY DAY through our bag lunch program. With a staff of 6, a dedicated volunteer force, and a budget of around $600,000, we are extremely efficient in distributing over 5 MILLION POUNDS of food annually. We are open Monday through Thursday, 7:30-4:00 pm and Fridays 9:00 - 12pm. We are closed on the weekends. Minors must have parental consent to work at the food bank. Those under 16 must also be accompanied by a parent/chaperone over the age of 18 at all times. We do not allow volunteers under the age of 13 years old.
