Job Description Responsibilities of a Latinx Digital Community Engagement Specialist include: Monitor the fun and entertaining Slack channels to interact and encourage volunteers to engage with one another Compile, create and share content such as polls, memes, and thought-provoking posts within the channels on a regular and consistent basis Brainstorm and survey the interests of other volunteers to create channels that peak interest Attend bi-weekly team calls and provide project updates to project lead Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of SaludConTech in alignment with its values of compassion, empathy, expertise, confidentiality, integrity, enlightenment, courage, and loyalty Work effectively & efficiently individually and in collaboration as a member of a team. In this role you will: Lead online community-building on our Slack community, with a focus on growing and developing professional connections. Manage development and implementation of online community strategy; including how to engage black and brown innovators to impact their relationship with one another fundamentally Recruit, train and support volunteers to create and cultivate online communities. Identify and socialize online community management standards, best practices and engagement tactics, based on peer, industry and alumni digital community benchmarks. Be active in social listening and monitoring across communities and make recommendations to help maximize online community-building efforts. Manage constituent complaints and reputational issues and other high priorities. Partner with internal stakeholders including program teams, service teams, IT, and partners to achieve program goals and to ensure coordination. Maintain a commitment to promoting and supporting an environment of diversity and inclusion. To be successful in this role, you will bring: A minimum of one year of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience. Demonstrated passion for and experience in building, moderating, and managing online communities (e.g. Slack, Reddit, Facebook Groups, LinkedIn). Demonstrated experience in working with volunteers that support online community engagement. Ability to leverage current and future trends to help maximize online community engagement. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to represent the university professionally both internally and externally. Strong interpersonal, team, problem solving and leadership skills; tact and flexibility in working with diverse population groups. Proven track record collaborating across matrixed organizations to drive results. Ability to listen, translate concepts across different groups, and collaborate. Lead discussions, training, etc, and implement projects that have shared value. Ability to be strategic and tactical, creating the conditions for engagement to thrive. Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new systems. SaludConTech is an inclusive ecosystem-building community that provides entrepreneurial support for digital health leaders from communities of color. LCHE and SaludConTech are looking for a volunteer to act as Digital Executive Assistant. Position Description The digital executive assistant will be working for the President. The position is remote, preference given to applicants residing on the West Coast but the position is open to all applicants regardless of location. Description of the position and tasks include: Communicating with volunteers worldwide with Slack, Trello, and emails. Manage Team calendar and schedule meetings and interviews Assisting in bridging and sustaining relationships with Latinx health partners remotely. We join together with other organizations, task forces, and alliances to build community capacity, and amplify local voices to a national level. The DLM / LCAC19 Health Equity Fiesta Tour Community building | Social determinants of health | Meeting people where they are LCAC19 and DDLM are proud to partner in the Los Angeles Día de la Mujer (DLM / Latino Coalition Against COVID-19 (LCAC19) Health Equity Fiesta on Sept 17th from 8am - 1pm. The DLM / LCAC19 Health Equity Fiesta is a family-friendly event designed to meet people where they are with the help of trusted messengers to forge lasting partnerships to address health disparities. The event will have food, music, and entertainment, with partnering organizations staffing tables to provide information and resources to the community. That is why we have partnered with local health organizations, public health, community-based organizations, health care clinics, and community members to help to bridge these care gaps. The event is designed to meet people where they are with the help of trusted messengers to forge lasting partnerships to address health disparities. Community members will not just be screened for high blood pressure and diabetes but will also be screened for social determinants of health, followed by digital referrals to community-based organizations to help address the care gaps identified.
