Adjacent to the museum is a historical park consisting of the 1786 Haley House (oldest house in High Point on its original location), c. 1801 Hoggatt House, and a c. 1841 blacksmith shop. Costumed interpreters are available on Saturdays to guide visitors through the park and periodically offer demonstrations of eighteenth century crafts and skills.

The High Point Museum is a wonderful place to visit and volunteer. Scenic setting in the center of High Point, and super-nice staff and volunteers.
