Mission Statement

The Literacy Alliance strives to end illiteracy by teaching adults through learning centers, literacy programs, and tutoring services that empower individuals to succeed at work, at home, and in the community.

Learning centers enable adult students to prepare to earn their High School Equivalency (HSE, past: GED) and strengthen basic skills for job training and post secondary education. One-on-one tutoring helps adults strengthen their basic reading, math, and language skills.

The people there are very nice and they greet you when ever they see you. The volunteer coordinator is very very nice. She shows you how to do the job right and she will be happy to show you how it is done with a smile.
