Mission Statement

Our mission is to advocate for and serve as the voice for abused and neglected children.

Description

CASA is appointed as the guardian ad litem (GAL) for children in juvenile court who have experienced abuse or neglect. We train volunteers to serve as advocates for these children, empowering the volunteers to make lifelong differences in the lives of these children. As the GAL, CASA advocates are responsible for gathering information regarding the child and reporting their findings to the judge in juvenile court. The advocates are the voice of the child in court, advocating for the child's best interests with the goal of finding him or her a safe, permanent home as soon as possible.
