Are you a community member or business leader who is looking to give back to the community in a measurable way? If so, then this may be the volunteer opportunity for you! UCP is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors and four committees that provide oversight over key aspects of our organization. The Programs & Services Committee is actively recruiting new committee members who are willing to put their time, talents, and abilities to work for a great cause. Programs & Services committee members assist with the following: Identify changing service needs in the community and plan for modification of existing services Assess and evaluate services, including quality issues and standards for outcomes, evaluate family/staff communication and relationships, review program/service progress on strategic plan issues, review all new program/service grant proposals, and review and analyze relevant legislation/regulations affecting programs/services. The Programs & Services Committee meets monthly in Camp Hill, usually on the second Thursday of the month, from Noon to 1:00. If you spend your spare time dreaming of relaxing on the beautiful greens at the local golf course, or are an avid golfer, or are just looking for a fun way to give back to the community... then the UCP/SchmidtKramer Golf Tournament Planning Committee is the place for you! We are actively searching for four to six additional committee members to assist with the planning and execution of this fundraising event in support of the UCP mission. Volunteers are needed to assist with the overall event planning and logistics, solicitation of donations for auctions, door prizes, and/or goodie bags, solicitation and follow-up of sponsors and advertisers, and assistance with marketing and promotion. The UCP/SchmidtKramer Golf Tournament features a delicious lunch, 18 holes of golf, spectacular silent/live auction items, a flavorful dinner, and prizes for excellence. Your expertise, energy, and ideas are eagerly sought to help us continue our efforts. The committee meets monthly. The annual UCP/SchmidtKramer Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024.

The Community Relations and Development (CRD) Committee is actively recruiting additional members who are willing to put their time, talents, and abilities to work for a great cause. We are looking for three additional committee members with experience in any of the following areas: Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Printing and Design, Planned Giving, Community Organizing, Marketing, special events, and major gifts. The CRD Committee meets bi-monthly in Camp Hill. The Operations & Finance Committee is actively recruiting additional members who are willing to put their time, talents, and abilities to work for a great cause. We are looking for four to six additional committee members to assist with the following: Review and present the annual budget, business plan, and monthly financial reports Review and recommend approval of major expenditures Establish and monitor all fiscal policies and oversee the annual independent audit Review all new administrative or management grant proposals Oversee and monitor the use and maintenance of agency property resources Review/analyze relevant legislation affecting non-profit corporate issues The Operations & Finance Committee meets monthly in Camp Hill, usually on the last Tuesday of the month, from Noon to 1:00. We are looking for four to six additional committee members to assist with the following: Review and evaluate agency policies and practices, including recruitment and retention Provide consultation regarding staff compensation and benefits Review and analyze personnel evaluation processes Review and analyze relevant legislation/regulations affecting human resource issues The HR Committee meets monthly in Camp Hill.
