Mission Statement

The Amara Hospice Care goal is to provide end-of-life care and supportive services for patients and their families, and to enhance their quality of life. Our hospice team is dedicated to promoting a state of harmony and serenity of mind, body, and soul for our patients and their families by collaborating with families to provide quality and compassionate hospice care.


The purpose of a hospice volunteer is to provide emotional, social, and spiritual support to individuals who are terminally ill and their families. Hospice volunteers aim to improve the quality of life for patients in hospice care by: 1. Offering companionship and friendship 2. Listening to patients' concerns and stories 3. Providing emotional support and empathy 4. Assisting with daily tasks and errands 5. Supporting patients' spiritual and religious needs 6. Helping with light household tasks and meal preparation 7. Running errands and doing shopping 8. Providing respite for caregivers 9. Supporting patients in achieving their end-of-life goals 10. Creating a sense of community and connection Hospice volunteers work alongside hospice professionals to provide comprehensive care and support, focusing on the patient's well-being and comfort. By sharing their time, compassion, and skills, volunteers make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their loved ones during a challenging time.
