Coloured Art Studio is an Art Education nonprofit that serves under served communities that lack access to the healing and transformative powers of the Arts. We are revamping and expanding our team and want to grow with you ! Development Director - responsible for organizing, spearheading and the establishment of fundraising endeavors. This includes developing fundraising plans, securing financial support, running special events for donors, and running other projects with the purpose of helping the organization reach its annual goals. Here are some key qualities: Passion for the Arts and Education: An inherent passion for both the arts and education is crucial, as it fuels dedication to the organization's mission and drives efforts to secure resources for its advancement. Fundraising Expertise: Strong fundraising skills are essential, including experience with grant writing, donor cultivation, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and fundraising events. Excellent Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including donors, board members, staff, and community members, is vital. This includes clear and persuasive writing, public speaking, and interpersonal skills. As a board member of Coloured Art Studio, a nonprofit organization, you will hold a pivotal position in guiding the strategic direction, governance, and long-term viability of our program. Collaborating closely with fellow board members, staff, and stakeholders, you will contribute to advancing our mission and effecting positive change within our community. Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the board of directors and executive leadership to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the organization's mission and goals. Governance: Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct, transparency, and accountability in all board activities. Fulfill fiduciary responsibilities by overseeing financial management, risk management, and legal compliance. Advocacy and Fundraising: Advocate for the organization's mission and programs within the community, and actively participate in fundraising efforts to support our initiatives and sustainability. Resource Development: Contribute expertise, networks, and resources to support the organization's growth and impact. Identify and cultivate potential donors, partners, and supporters. Qualifications: Passion for and commitment to the mission and values of Coloured Art Studio Previous experience serving on nonprofit boards or relevant leadership roles. Demonstrated expertise in areas such as nonprofit management, fundraising, finance, law, marketing, or strategic planning. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Integrity, professionalism, and a willingness to act in the best interests of the organization. Availability to attend regular board meetings, committee meetings, and occasional events as required. An overall love and respect for the communities we serve and the betterment of the families in those underserved communities Time Commitment: Board members are expected to serve a term of 2 years with the possibility of renewal. The time commitment may vary but typically includes attending quarterly board meetings, participating in committee work, and engaging in occasional events or activities.

Job Overview: We are seeking three (3) motivated Social Media Specialists to engage with targeted in-person and online communities, as well as potential partners. The primary objective is to increase awareness of Coloured Art Studio and cultivate partnerships and donor relationships, ultimately driving website traffic. This role involves leveraging the full spectrum of social media marketing strategies while utilizing our platform to advocate for the significance of community-based initiatives and arts education. Social media specialists should have a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on those channels. You will be responsible for joining relevant conversations on behalf of Coloured Art Studio. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Build and execute social media strategies through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification. Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to participate, join and donate to support our mission. Optimize our Coloured Art Studio social media pages within each platform to increase the visibility of the organization’s social content. Collaborate with the Development Director to manage our reputation, identify key players / partners and coordinate a plan of action. Requirements: Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills Social networking experience Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels Excellent English written and spoken communication skills are essential Spanish is a major plus as well ! & lastly, be able to not only match but enhance our online artsy and youth centered style and voice

Who we are: Coloured Art Studio originated during the pandemic, recognizing the urgent need for students to have a creative outlet during challenging times. In our community, adversity is not unfamiliar, but rather an integral part of our collective narrative. Unfortunately, the pandemic disproportionately affected underserved communities, prompting us to take action to provide relief, joy, and light during such dark times. Despite being conducted virtually via Zoom, our program was a resounding success! We are potentially getting our permanent Art studio and we are revamping our team ! Coloured Art Studio is currently updating its Board and we are seeking 1 Board Member with a minimum of 2 yrs professional experience to join us by this summer. We are looking for a SECRETARY . We are seeking a Secretary for our Board of Directors, you will help to provide organizational support through taking an active role in our hybrid (virtual/in person) board meetings, assisting in organizing meetings, maintaining minutes and communicating with board members. Directors must exercise a strong sense of professionalism and high moral standards, maintaining our mission and code of ethics. Our Board of Directors is dedicated to serving our vision of creating a one of a kind art education space that not only enriches the students but their families and the community. We are currently seeking a secretary for our Board of Directors who can serve for a 2 year term and commit to 15 hours per month of service. Qualifications: Superior communication, customer service and relationship-building skills, organization and time management skills, attention to detail, tact, discretion and diplomacy. Board Member Responsibilities Love and appreciate the power of Art in education, in the home and in the community Understand, support, and promote the artistic mission of Coloured Art Studio (CAS) Consider Coloured Art Studio not only an elective or extracurricular oppurtunity but a major Education priority. Understand and respect the needs and interests of the families and students in our chosen under served communities and keep them at the WHO and WHY of your service Make an annual personal contribution to CAS of $500 or more. Solicit a minimum of $2,000 in donations annually. Prepare for, regularly attend, and actively participate in board meetings. Stay informed of our activities and attend events organized by CAS. Reply to all CAS communication in a timely manner. Board members may be called upon to represent CAS in front of local and regional government agencies. Introduce members of your personal and professional networks to CAS in order to: Identify and cultivate board candidates and individual donors Help Coloured Art Studio secure corporate sponsorships and institutional grants Participate in high-level cultivation calls, events, and "asks" with potential donors and partners This position is open as a Full Board Position
