We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Remote Adoption Coordinator Assistant. This volunteer position plays a crucial role in supporting our adoption coordination efforts, helping connect animals in need with loving homes. As an Assistant, you will work closely with our Adoption Coordinator to facilitate the adoption process and ensure a smooth experience for both adopters and animals. Responsibilities: Assist in screening adoption applications and conducting initial interviews with potential adopters. Assist in organizing virtual and in person home visits, meet-and-greet sessions, adoption appointments and follow-ups, ensuring all necessary paperwork and processes are completed. Communicate effectively with potential adopters, providing information about available animals, adoption requirements, and procedures. between adopters and animals. Update adoption records and maintain accurate documentation of adoption activities. Collaborate with other team members to promote animals available for adoption through online platforms and social media channels. Utilize shelter software Animals First to review applications, adoption contracts, animals and potential adopters. Communicate with fosters to gain more information and photos of animals up for adoption. Qualifications: Passion for animal welfare and commitment to promoting responsible pet ownership. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team. Experience with customer service or administrative tasks is preferred but not required. Time Commitment: 3-5 hours per week, with flexibility based on your availability. A small startup nonprofit animal rescue organization in NW Georgia is looking for some extra hands! We are in need of a few capable volunteers who are available and willing to assist with events. Example events include: Puppy Yoga, adoption events, small local markets, community events. Events are typically simple and fun. Tasks include transporting event materials, assisting with puppy/dog care before/during or after the event (not all events), set up/break down, distributing event materials and freebies, collecting sign ups, managing donations, setting up merch and conversing with people about our mission. Commitment would be 2-3 times a month. Dates can be provided typically a month in advance. Events are located in Trenton, GA or Chattanooga. Our ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic animal lover who is passionate about our cause. Ideally this person will have event experience, sales, or other related experience.

This position is entirely remote, and would require 3-5 hours a week at the most. Our current funding is primarily individual donors. The ideal candidate would have experience finding, writing, and managing grants as well as management of donor profiles and contributions. Tasks would include assisting our other fabulous volunteer in seeking available grants, writing small-medium sized grants, managing existing donor base, updating database of donors, POSSIBLY data transfer onto a CRM, etc. This position is remote and works around your schedule.
