The mission of Adult Basic Education in Minnesota is to provide adults with educational opportunities to acquire and improve the literacy skills needed to become self-sufficient and to participate effectively as workers, family members, and citizens.
We provide English language skills to adults at various English language proficiency levels and from various different cultures. Volunteers work with a supervising teacher that provides lessons and guidance working one-on-one or with small groups. Both virtual and in-person opportunities available. We currently have a need for evening volunteers, Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-8:00pm. Many training opportunities online or in person through the local non-profit Literacy MN.
