Lavender Lotis is a forward-thinking consultancy firm dedicated to fostering inclusivity, diversity, and cultural sensitivity within technology initiatives. Our product is under the nonprofit umbrella to prevent exploitation of the health and well-being of underserved communities. We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Volunteer Full Stack Engineer to help finalize the back-end development of our product. We are looking for individuals who understand and appreciate our mission, and the importance of the BIPOC community's needs, and who share our commitment to fighting against capitalist motives. Responsibilities: -Collaborate with our development team to complete and optimize the back-end components of our software product. -Work closely with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration and functionality. -Implement and maintain APIs, databases, and server-side logic to enhance the overall user experience. -Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure code quality and reliability. -Contribute to technical discussions and propose innovative solutions to challenges that arise during development. Requirements: -Strong proficiency in back-end programming languages such as Python, Node.js, Ruby, or similar. -Experience with server-side frameworks like Django, Express, or Ruby on Rails. -Familiarity with API design, RESTful architecture, and database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL). -Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices. -Good understanding of web security principles and best practices. -Ability to work independently, follow coding standards, and adhere to project timelines. Additional Preferred Skills: -Experience in building applications with machine learning capabilities. -Understanding of healthcare policies and regulations. -Knowledge of international healthcare systems and diverse user needs. Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Program Manager to lead our community programs at Lavender Lotis. The Program Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs aimed at promoting health equity, wellness, and empowerment within the BIPOC LGBTQIA+ communities. Key Responsibilities: Program Development and Implementation: Develop and execute comprehensive program strategies, initiatives, and activities aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and values. Collaborate with stakeholders, including community partners, healthcare providers, and advocacy groups, to identify needs, prioritize issues, and address health disparities. Design and oversee the implementation of evidence-based programs, workshops, events, and interventions to support the holistic well-being of community members. Community Engagement and Outreach: Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, organizations, and leaders to foster trust, collaboration, and active participation in program initiatives. Conduct outreach efforts, including community forums, focus groups, and surveys, to gather feedback, assess needs, and inform program planning and development. Serve as a visible and accessible resource for community members, providing support, information, and referrals to healthcare services and resources as needed. Program Evaluation and Quality Improvement: Establish program goals, objectives, and performance metrics to track progress, evaluate outcomes, and measure impact on health outcomes and community engagement. Implement rigorous evaluation methodologies, including quantitative and qualitative data analysis, to assess program effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous quality improvement. Prepare and present comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentations to stakeholders, funders, and leadership team members to communicate program achievements, challenges, and recommendations. Collaboration and Partnership Development: Collaborate with internal teams, including research, communications, and development, to integrate program activities and initiatives across organizational departments. Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, nonprofits, foundations, and healthcare providers, to leverage resources, share best practices, and maximize program impact. Participate in coalitions, task forces, and committees focused on health equity, social justice, and BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ rights to advocate for policy change and systemic improvements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Community Development, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management, community organizing, or nonprofit leadership, with a focus on health equity, BIPOC LGBTQIA+ issues, and social justice. Demonstrated knowledge of public health principles, population health, and health promotion strategies, with a commitment to addressing health disparities and systemic barriers impacting marginalized communities. Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills, with the ability to build rapport, engage diverse stakeholders, and mobilize community members toward shared goals. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and data analysis tools. This remote position offers the opportunity to shape our online brand presence and engage with our diverse community. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with Lavender Lotis' mission and goals. Create engaging and visually appealing content including videos, graphics, and photos for LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok. Manage the social media content calendar, scheduling and publishing posts across all platforms. Monitor social media channels, engage with followers, and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner. Collaborate with internal teams to source content ideas and gather information for social media campaigns. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in social media marketing and content creation. Write short and compelling blogs for LinkedIn that highlight Lavender Lotis' initiatives, events, and community impact. Track and analyze social media performance metrics, providing regular insights and recommendations for optimization.
