Volunteer Board Member invisible Warriors is seeking passionate and committed individuals to join our volunteer Board of Directors. As a board member, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our mission of advocacy and support for women with ongoing invisible illnesses including mental health/PTSD/MST. Board Member Responsibilities: - Provide strategic guidance and governance oversight to the organization - Attend quarterly board meetings and actively participate in discussions - Serve on committees aligned with your expertise and interests - Help raise funds and identify new funding opportunities - Act as an ambassador for the organization within your network - Review and approve annual budgets, goals, and organizational policies Qualifications: - Demonstrated passion for women's health - Prior board experience is an asset, but not required - Skilled in areas such as finance, marketing, law, fundraising, operations, etc. - Connected in the local community with a wide professional network - Excellent communication and strategic thinking abilities This is a volunteer position with an initial 2-year term, renewable upon mutual agreement. With over 133 million adults in the US suffering from hidden chronic illness, awareness and advocacy for those who live with these debilitating diseases is urgent. Invisible Warriors provides hope to women entrepreneurs who suffer from these hidden illnesses by educating the medical, insurance, and travel industries as well as leading political entities regarding the needs and resources required for not only survival and function but also for ease and relief while advocating for respect for those suffering from these illnesses. If you think you'd be good at this volunteer position I'd love to hear from you. It will be a fun, challenging and insightful project that will help thousands of women show the world that their health is not invisible but is real and serious.

One out of every 2 adult Americans lives with at least 1 chronic illness (often called hidden disabilities). The disability community is the largest minority in the world. Yet, instead of feeling inclusive and wrapped in camaraderie, most of us feel alone, unvalued and unworthy. We need doctors who understand us and colleagues and family members who believe us when we tell them something about our health. Just knowing the simple fact that they are not alone and still have much to offer can be life-changing. Invisible Warriors has the intention of changing the society so that not only the medical and health care communities are better aligned with the needs of these individuals but also guide these women to build their businesses successfully while suffering the daily aches, pains, social stigma and lack of self-worth that comes from having a long-term illness that people don’t see. Qualifications * Entrepreneurship and impact investing * Programs, Canva, G Suite, project management tools (Asana, Airtable) and communication tools (Slack, social media), or Adobe programs (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator Responsibilities Responsibilities will include leading public and political outreach in your state and district. Meet with members of Congress and/or Congressional staffers in your State and District. Represent Invisible Entrepreneurs at various business, political and community events. Assist with fundraising. Create a personal fundraising campaign and meet targets. Mobilize individuals to contact their members of Congress in support of key health and wellness legislation. As needed, speak to groups, classes and organizations. Write letters of support for key programs to political leaders, media and other groups. Qualifications: Outstanding writing skills. Self-starter who can produce great results with limited supervision. Strong oral communication skills and ability to lead meetings and give speeches. Invisible Warriors is looking for a volunteer to support community innovation and civic engagement efforts by conducting research, analyzing information, and publishing content about our community and impact around the country. People who suffer from these illnesses retreat from society, feeling frustrated, angry and scared by the fact that they must seek assistance, and often end up lonely and secluded. Invisible Entrepreneurs will make sure people with Chronic Illnesses are empowered to not feel alone, to correct misinformation about CI, to educate others, to draw parallels and distinctions with other illnesses, and to effectively convey why their situation is unique. Mission Becoming the world’s leader in supporting chronic illness warriors, especially entrepreneurs, through prayers, education, expert leadership, advocacy, and strategies for business growth while living life to the fullest. This includes creating an environment where the medical community and insurance/pharmaceutical industries are more open and inclusive for these women who suffer with the daily pains and struggles. About the Role The Social Media Marketing volunteer role is tasked with creating and collaborating on content development for the Tiktok channel, IG reels, and other social media. You will be working directly with our board and specifically the board member tasked with social media marketing In this role, you can expect to: Create videos, memes, reels and tiktok Schedule content Measure the shares, likes and comments for the brand Engage, reach out and work directly with influencers Create, execute, and analyze marketing programs to activate, engage, convert and retain customers.
