We defend parental rights against retaliatory custody battles, helping to ensure survivors retain custody of their children while rebuilding their lives. Duration: Ongoing Location: Remote, in-office, or a combination (based on personal preference and organizational needs) Position Description Are you a licensed CPA looking to make a meaningful impact while utilizing your professional skills? This volunteer opportunity offers a chance to apply your expertise in accounting and financial management to a nonprofit organization dedicated to social justice and advocacy. Responsibilities As a Volunteer CPA at Mommy's Heart, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the organization's financial health and compliance. Your responsibilities may include: Financial Oversight: Manage and oversee the organization's financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and monitor annual budgets, providing financial projections and analysis to support decision-making. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial statements and reports for the board of directors and other stakeholders. Tax Compliance: Ensure timely filing of all required tax returns and maintain compliance with nonprofit tax regulations. Audit Support: Coordinate and assist with annual audits, preparing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries. Financial Strategy: Provide strategic financial advice to support the organization's growth and sustainability. QuickBooks Management: Oversee and maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks. Volunteer Opportunity: We are seeking event volunteers to assist with our upcoming fundraising event in the Upper East Side in New York, NY on May 10, 2025. Volunteers should have their own transportation, so they can drive themselves to and from the event. All volunteers will be provided food and beverage as well as recognition. Our cocktail reception fundraiser will be held on May 10, 2025 in a private residence in Manhattan and will be well-attended by celebrities, high profile philanthropists, business leaders, influencers, and press. The evening will include cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. The exact location will be disclosed upon volunteer confirmation. We are looking for event volunteers, who are available that day from 5pm-10pm, to assist with: 1. Event setup 2. Video Presentation 3. Bartending and serving drinks 4. Event cleanup 5. Guest Check-in **We are also seeking volunteers who would be available to pick up donations of food and alcohol from neighboring vendors and bring to the event location in the days and hours leading up to the event.
