Mission Statement

Winn Reading improves reading comprehension, enjoyment and fluency skills for emergent readers in our region.

Description

Winn Reading goes into the schools during the school day to help students in Pre-K through 3rd grade with reading skills. Literacy Mentors complete a background check and obtain a school badge. They work with children one-on-one or in groups of two or three to improve reading skills. Literacy Mentors build a relationship with the children they help. They must commit to one hour a week.
