Board Finance - Clerk In addition to performing Board Member duties, as Love Life Now’s Board Finance - Clerk, primary duties will be...but not limited to: Managing the organization’s budget and financial accounting via QuickBooks, as well as accounts related to it (Bank, PayPal, Amazon, etc.) Work closely with the President to ensure the bookkeeping and financial reports are updated every 6 months, and they are accessible by the President and board members for each quarterly board meeting. Filing of organization’s IRS 990 EZ Tax Filings, the Attorney General’s Form PC filing, as well as any other tax related filings. Create 1099 forms for the President’s salary. The Finance - Treasurer will play a significant role in any auditing process and should be primed and ready to answer any auditors’ questions. Board Member Position The Board will support the DV awareness work of LLN and provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance. Board members are expected to have, or be willing to learn, the financial acumen to read and understand organizational financial statements and to otherwise help the board fulfill its fiduciary responsibility to ensure that LLN has a sound fiscal and strategic position. Additionally, they are expected to responsibly represent LLN in their respective communities and to advocate for LLN’s mission, programs, and services as appropriate. Board Member Duties Board members are expected to support the organization’s resource development goals by: Giving directly or fundraising for a minimum of $1000 per year, including providing support during fundraising pitches and reviewing grant proposals. Supporting LLN awareness events by: inviting and securing at least three people to attend each event. Securing at least one sponsorship (either in-kind or monetary) for each initiative. Volunteering at each event to assist with set-up and breakdown, etc. Providing fiscal and strategic oversight for the organization. Actively sharing information about LLN on social media and other channels. Supporting the Board Chair in ad-hoc responsibilities, as needed. Volunteer Service Except for selected officers, service on LLN’s Board of Directors is voluntary and without remuneration, except for administrative support, travel, and accommodation costs in relation to Board Members’ duties.

As LLN’s Board Manager - Chair, you will oversee the board’s work and generally the primary person who will work with the President to make sure things are running smoothly and keep the board informed. Primary Duties (will be, but not limited to): Serves as the contact point for every board member on board issues. Sets goals and objectives for the board and ensures that they are met as described in Duties of Board Member Job Description. Ensures that all board members follow the organization’s By-Laws and are involved in committee activities/meetings/events/initiatives. Arranges and takes part in new board member orientation. Takes the lead on the President’s annual performance evaluation. Takes the lead in the annual board member self-evaluation and review process. Works with the President to recruit new advisory board candidates. The Administrative Assistant works with President to provide overall administrative and project support, and acts as a liaison to the Board. Professionalism, the ability to cultivate relationships, and flexibility to adapt to the changing needs and priorities of a growing organization are essential. Though opportunity is mostly virtual, being local to Massachusetts is preferred. Responsibilities Manage President’s calendar and daily workflow. Schedule internal and external meetings, agendas, take meeting minutes, coordinate logistics and details, including space (most meetings are virtual), meals, supplies, and technology) for meetings, providing relevant preparation materials. Facilitate the smooth exchange of information as a first point of contact for external relationships. Coordinate travel arrangements for the President, including flights and lodging.
