Mission Statement

Santa Fe Film Institute is committed to the advancement of independent film, filmmaking, support of the local community, and underserved youth. The main project of the Santa Fe Film Institute(SFFI), the Santa Fe International Film Festival(SFiFF), is the premiere forum for international and independent cinema in the area. Focusing on artistic excellence, SFiFF serves as a creative center for film year-round, and as a presentation of the year's top films each October. SFiFF provides professional opportunities for artists, and unmatched audience participation in the world’s greatest little film city.

Santa Fe Film Institute benefits its community by presenting the largest and most dynamic film festival in New Mexico, the Santa Fe International Film Festival (SFiFF). SFiFF screens over 100 films each October and supports local youth, artists, filmmakers, and those seldom served by the arts. SFiFF provides educational and professional development in film, including SFiFF Student Day, and by hosting interactive workshops, industry networking events, discussion panels, and filmmaker Q&As, as well as free public programming.
