Each October, the Santa Fe International Film Festival relies on the support of volunteers like you! Just as important as the films and filmmakers, SFiFF would not be a success without the hard-working team of volunteers that join us each year. If you are dependable, personable, and enthusiastic, please consider volunteering with SFiFF.

We are seeking individuals with...

  • Outstanding people skills
  • Rational thinking in critical situations
  • Strong organizational skills
  • The ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Interest in film

Volunteering with SFiFF gives you the opportunity to...

  • Meet fascinating and talented artists from around the world
  • Support local and international filmmakers
  • Be a behind-the-scenes player in Santa Fe's top film event

Volunteers who sign up for a total of 12 hours (approx. 3 shifts) are rewarded with free-access to any film screenings that are not previously sold out to festival patrons.

A variety of volunteer roles are available, which you can select based on your skills and interests during the 5-day festival:

Usher: Great for first-time volunteers or those excellent with customer service skills! Ushers are the face of SFiFF and assist in directing guests, answering questions, scanning festival passes and tickets, and ensuring fair balloting for each film.

Venue Host: Reserved for volunteers with previous experience at our festival or another similar event, Venue Hosts help provide direction to the venue's ushers, and also excel in customer service!

Party Host: Only for volunteers ages 21+, Party Hosts scan festival passes and tickets at the entrance of our party venues!

Driver: Assist with transporting SFiFF filmmakers and festival guests from the ABQ Sunport to their accommodations in Santa Fe. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required for this volunteer position.

Box Office Volunteer: Box Office volunteers provide assistance to SFiFF's Box Office Manager and/or Box Office Assistant. This role's tasks include answering questions about showtimes and sold-out screenings, organizing merchandise, and helping distribute filmmaker bags.
