Join our Banner Gateway volunteer team! Volunteers assist patients families and staff in various areas of the hospital 7 days a week, 7am to 8pm, various shifts available. Our goal is to match your interests with opportunities that include: Greet and escort patients and visitors Provide comfort measures to our patients and their families waiting for surgeries Join your certified pet therapy dog and become one of our Dog Therapy Volunteers Stock supplies to be used in patient care Deliver cookies to our new moms Provide administrative support Assist at our retail gift shop Give back to the community by sharing your time and talent with our patients at Banner Gateway Medical Center!

Be part of our Caring Cart team by volunteering or donating items! At Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center, our patients are able to have their labs and diagnostic testing completed on the same day as their doctors' appointments. This allows the doctors to have current information when visiting with their patients. Sometimes patients are at the center for a few hours. We are looking for compassionate volunteers to wheel the "Caring Cart" through the center and visit with patients. We also are in need of items for our Caring Cart. Items can be donated or a "drive" can be coordinate to collect multiple items. We need the following items: Small lotions, hand sanitizers and lip balms Pocket-sized tissues Bottled water Bite size chocolate or hard candy Word-search, crossword, sudoku puzzle books Mechanical pencils Items can be dropped off any day between 6:30 am - 5:00 pm. Looking to spend a few hours with others? Banner Gateway and MD Anderson Cancer Center are looking for customer service-oriented volunteers to join their Gift Shop and Boutique teams. Our Gift Shops and Boutique provide an oasis of beauty, laughter and light-heartedness to our patients. Volunteers provide retail sales support, assist with merchandise displays and operate computer-based register. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to 6 months or longer with the availability to volunteer one regular shift of approximately 4 hours in length per week. Shifts are available Monday through Friday, 9am - 4pm. Our onboarding process includes an application, interview, health screening (includes flu vaccines from September to March), and background check and will take a minimum of three weeks to complete.

Help bring a new level of cancer care to Arizona! Our volunteers create a healing atmosphere at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center. We are looking for compassionate and caring volunteers to assist our patients in a variety of areas throughout our center Monday through Friday between 6:30 am and 6:00 pm. Volunteer opportunities include: Greet and escort patients throughout the center Provide comfort measures for patients before, during and after treatment Stock supplies to be used in patient care Provide administrative support to staff and patients Assist patients and family at our Boutique that specializes in supporting the needs of cancer patients Becoming a volunteer with Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center is an excellent way to give back to the community through the service to others. The personal fulfillment our volunteers receive through service to our patients and their families is greater than the upfront effort needed to complete the onboarding process. Do you play the piano or a musical instrument? Would you like to share your talent with our patients? Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center has a piano in the lobby that is just waiting for you to play it! We will consider other musical instruments that would provide a soothing atmosphere. Music can be very therapeutic to our cancer patients and the healthcare heroes that heal them. We would be honored to hear jazz, classical, Beatles, holiday, etc. tunes.
