In need of a Lead Volunteer to provide leadership and support to 4 to 5 volunteers from 10:45am-1:15pm on Wednesdays and Fridays. QUALIFICATIONS: * Must be willing to volunteer at least 2 times per week (10:45am-1:15pm) * Manage 3 stations with help of other volunteers: 1) Hygiene, 2) Clothing, 3) Lunch Bag * Ability to be on your feet for most of the time * Ability to work well with at-risk and unhoused adults * Organize our Housed Women's event the first Wednesday of each month * Professional appearance * Experience working with or managing volunteers preferred * Ability to communicate with, supervise and empower volunteers to be effective in their roles * Ability to work cooperatively with different types of personalities

Front Door Communities is looking for a committed board member to serve on our organization's governing body. The board member's responsibilities include advising on strategic plans, participating in evaluations, and monitoring its financial affairs. You should also prepare for board meetings, attend them regularly, and actively participate in them. To be successful as a board member you should have significant professional leadership experience and strong diplomatic skills. An outstanding board member will be passionately committed to the organization's mission. Board Member Responsibilities: Knowing the organization's mission, programs, policies, and needs. Preparing for meetings by reviewing the agenda and supporting documentation. Regularly attending board meetings and participating actively and conscientiously. Keeping up with issues and trends that affect the organization. Participating in the evaluation of business operations and executives. Approving audit reports, budgets, and business decisions. Contributing to the development of policies and strategic plans. Understanding the organization's financial affairs and ensuring fiduciary responsibilities are met. Ensuring the organization complies with legal requirements. Maintaining confidentiality on all internal organizational affairs. Board Member Requirements: Proven track record in an executive leadership role. Previous board and fundraising experience preferred. Knowledge of the organization and the relevant industry. Sufficient time availability for board duties. Strong diplomatic and interpersonal skills.

In need of volunteers from 10:45am-1:15pm on Wednesdays and/or Fridays to assist our unhoused women living on the streets, in shelters, in their cars, in low-income housing, etc by distributing hygiene kits, clothing and a meal to each woman that is in need of these essential items. If you are available only on Wednesdays or only on Fridays, we'll take it! If you are available on both Wednesday AND Friday, we'll take that too. Any help we can get is much appreciated! Prior to Covid, we were allowing women to come into our church sanctuary and sit together for a hot meal and/or get a few hours of respite from the streets. Currently, due to Covid, we don't allow the gathering of people inside the facility at this time. We now serve our clients in our gated 9th street parking lot where we distribute free lunch, an article of clothing and/or shoes, as well as hygiene items. They immediately leave the premises afterwards. We need 1 to 3 volunteers to distribute bag lunches, hygiene products and an item of clothing to our most vulnerable population on Monday, Tuesday and/or Thursday for 2 hours. Even if you're only available for one of those days, that would be great! You would need to be vaccinated as well. If you're available, we would love to meet you!
