Position Summary: Cancer Guides Website Administrator will be responsible for completing and maintaining our organization’s website providing a "front door" to the cancer community Tasks: Complete and update website as needed Respond to/manage any communications via website Participate in printed collateral creation Other tasks as deemed necessary and appropriate Required Skills: Background in marketing Knowledge of website design Desired Skills: Experience using Weebly Website Builder Strong written and verbal communication skills Location/Setting: This opportunity is virtual/remote and on your own time Estimated Time Commitment: 5 hours per month (all volunteer hours will be reported every month.) Training and Supervision: This position is accountable to the Executive Director. All volunteers will receive a Volunteer Handbook upon submission of the volunteer application.

Position Summary: Cancer Guides Medical Copywriter will be responsible for researching, developing, writing, and publishing various pamphlets to provide education and clarify information that can be overwhelming and confusing for new cancer families Tasks: Develop and publish series of pamphlets to help explain medical testing reports Other tasks as deemed necessary and appropriate Required Skills: Knowledge of basic medical information Ability to research and clearly disseminate medical information Ability to translate medical information to easy to understand content Excellent writing skills Desired Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills Basic illustration skills, as necessary Location/Setting: This opportunity is virtual/remote and on your own time Estimated Time Commitment: 10 hours per month (all volunteer hours will be reported every month.) Training and Supervision: This position is accountable to the Executive Director. All volunteers will receive a Volunteer Handbook upon submission of the volunteer application.

We are a group of long-term cancer patients, medical professionals, social workers, philanthropists, researchers, and engineers who believe more can be done to make fighting cancer less scary, less frustrating, and less burdensome than it inherently already is.
