Position Summary: Cancer Guides Medical Copywriter will be responsible for researching, developing, writing, and publishing various pamphlets to provide education and clarify information that can be overwhelming and confusing for new cancer families

Tasks:

• Develop and publish series of pamphlets to help explain medical testing reports
• Other tasks as deemed necessary and appropriate

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of basic medical information
• Ability to research and clearly disseminate medical information
• Ability to translate medical information to easy to understand content
• Excellent writing skills

Desired Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic illustration skills, as necessary

Location/Setting: This opportunity is virtual/remote and on your own time

Estimated Time Commitment: 10 hours per month (all volunteer hours will be reported every month.)

Training and Supervision: This position is accountable to the Executive Director. All volunteers will receive a Volunteer Handbook upon submission of the volunteer application.
